Abstracts are currently being solicited on the following topics as well as on any other topic related to environmental health, hazardous waste or climate change in the Pacific. There is currently no deadline for abstract submission although prospective presenters are encouraged to submit as early as possible, especially if requesting financial assistance.

 

► children's environmental health

► occupational health

► aquaculture, sustainability, contaminants & health

► persistent organic pollutants and health

►equity, development, environment and health

► innovative technologies for hazardous waste treatment & remediation

► mercury: sources and health effects

► genetic risks of environmental contaminants

► monitoring of human tissues for environmental contaminants

► arsenic and fluoride and human health

► air pollution and health

► environmental health law

► climate change, natural disasters and health

►genetic risks of environmental pollutants

 

 

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Abstracts should be no more than 350 words and submitted in English, MS Word 11 point Times font on A-4 paper with 2.54 cm margins. Abstracts should include:

1) the topic under which the abstract falls
2) poster or platform preference
3) the title in capital letters
4) the author names and affiliations
5 ) the name of the presenting author in boldface type
6) contact information for the presenter

Abstracts should be submitted via email to pbc@uamail.albany.edu with 'abstract submission' in the subject line by JULY 15, 2007.

PBC will confirm receipt of abstracts via email and give an estimated date by which the presenterwill learn of acceptance and poster vs. platform status.


POSTER SESSION GUIDELINES

A poster session will be held concurrently with the technical sessions. Poster submissions are encouraged in all of the topic areas listed above as well as others related to environment and health in the region.

 

Posters should be 90cm wide by 120 cm high.
