PBC Mini-Grant Program
The PBC has initiated a program of providing a limited number of mini-grants to activities in the region that help to achieve PBC goals. The grants are small - US$150 - $300 - but can nevertheless play an important role both in providing much-needed resources to small initiatives and in expanding the PBC’s visibility in the region. The first project to receive a mini-grant was a training organized by Board member, Dr. Irma Makalinao. The training was provided to Philippines Department of Health professionals in the area of Children’s Environmental Health in March. The Singapore symposium on environmental health described below was also a recipient of a PBC mini-grant.
Mini-grant funds are being used to support Board Member Dr. Genandrialine Peralta's participation in the WHO/UNEP Thematic Working Group on Solid and Hazardous Wastes workshop in Singapore at the end of February.
If you know of a relevant project that might benefit from a PBC mini-grant, please contact the PBC Secretariat at pbc@eastwestcenter.org.
